Join us for an unforgettable hands-on jewellery experience where you will design and carve your very own dream ring.

This intimate 3-hour workshop is guided by Henriette Botha, a jewellery designer with over 15 years of experience in the jewellery industry. Henriette will introduce you to the fascinating process behind lost wax carving - an ancient jewellery making technique used to create beautifully unique pieces.

Working with special jeweller’s wax, you will design and carve your ring from scratch. Whether your design is bold and sculptural or simple and refined, you will be guided step-by-step through the carving process to bring your idea to life.

No previous jewellery experience is required. This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone curious about the craft.

Once your wax carving is complete, it will be sent to our workshop for professional casting, cleaning and polishing. Your finished ring will then be couriered to you within 4–6 weeks.

What’s Included
  • A 3-hour guided jewellery workshop
  • All tools and carving materials
  • Drink and snacks
  • Your ring professionally cast and finished
  • Courier delivery of your finished ring
Metal Allowance

Due to the rising cost of silver, the workshop price includes the following metal allowances:

Silver

Includes up to 7g of silver. Your wax ring will be weighed on the day, and any additional silver will be charged at R200 per gram.

Brass or Copper

Includes up to 10g of metal, with additional metal charged at R110 per gram.

Wax Options

During the workshop you will be able to choose from a variety of wax widths, depending on the design you would like to create.

The wax width refers to the space your ring takes up on your finger. This should not be confused with ring size (your finger measurement) or ring depth (the thickness of the band).

These wax widths are maximum starting widths, meaning you can always carve your design slimmer or more sculptural as you shape your ring.

After all - you’re the designer!

Our standard wax is 5mm wide, but wider wax options are available if you would like to create a bolder band.
