About Henriette

Jewellery has always been more than something beautiful to me. It's a way of preserving memories, celebrating milestones, and creating pieces that become part of a family's story.

After studying Jewellery Design in South Africa, I moved to Paris to study Fashion Design and later worked as a Collection Coordinator at Balmain. My time in luxury fashion shaped my appreciation for timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail.

Returning to South Africa, I founded Henriette Botha Studio in 2012 with a vision of creating contemporary jewellery that balances modern design with timeless character. As both my work and life have evolved, so too has my focus. Today, I specialise in bespoke fine jewellery and immersive wax carving workshops, creating pieces that are deeply personal and made to last.

In 2024, I moved from Johannesburg to Cape Town, where the studio is now based. Surrounded by mountains, ocean, and a slower pace of life, I've found fresh inspiration in creating jewellery that's designed to become part of everyday moments, not just special occasions.

Whether I'm designing a bespoke engagement ring, remodelling a treasured heirloom, or guiding someone through carving their very first ring in wax, my goal is always the same: to create jewellery with meaning.

I believe the pieces we cherish most aren't simply worn, they become woven into our lives. They celebrate milestones, honour memories, and quietly collect stories of their own before being passed from one generation to the next.

Designed to be worn. Crafted to be passed on.
