Spend a morning designing and hand-carving your own ring in jeweller's wax. I'll guide you through every step, and no experience is needed. Afterwards I take your carving back to my studio, where it's professionally cast in solid sterling silver, finished by hand, and couriered to you.

What does a workshop cost?
Prices are released along with each new workshop date.
Where are the workshops held?
Workshops run in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Each date is hosted at a venue selected for the group, and the full address is confirmed with your booking.
Do I need any jewellery-making experience?
No experience is necessary. I'll guide you through every step of the design and carving process.
How many people attend the workshops?
Workshops are limited to 10 people, so everyone gets proper one-on-one attention.
What can I make?
Ring workshops are dedicated to creating rings, and pendant workshops are for making pendants or charms. As each workshop uses different techniques, the projects are not interchangeable, so rings can only be made in ring workshops and pendants or charms can only be made in pendant workshops.
What's included in the ticket price?
7g of sterling silver, all tools and materials, expert guidance, refreshments, and the professional casting and finishing of your piece.
Can I customise my piece further?
Yes. Once your wax design has been carved, you can choose to add gemstone setting, engraving, or gold plating to your finished piece for an additional cost. I'll explain the available options and their pricing during the workshop, so you can decide what you'd like to add. Any optional extras selected are payable on the day.
What metals can my piece be cast in?
You have the option to have your finished ring cast in sterling silver, brass, or bronze. Your workshop includes up to 7g of sterling silver or up to 10g of brass or bronze. If you'd like your ring cast in 9ct gold, I'll happily provide a quote during the workshop. As gold prices fluctuate, all gold quotes are valid for 72 hours.
How long until I receive my finished piece?
Your finished piece is usually ready within 4-8 weeks of your workshop. This includes casting, polishing, and finishing. If you choose to add customisations such as gemstone setting, engraving, or gold plating, it may take a little longer.
